Blandford Forum and Dorcester Day Trip
Blandford Forum
Located on the banks of the River Stour, Blandford Forum is the most complete, small Georgian town in England. This town has stunning architecture, a charming parish church and wonderful market place. There is plenty to do while there such as:
Spotting an otter on the banks of the River Stour and the surrounding water meadows.
Taking a brewery tour at the Hall and Woodhouse Brewery.
Visiting a museum, such as the Blandford Fashion Museum or the Royal Signals Museum.
Exploring Dorset hill forts and ancient monuments.
Learning about the town's fascinating history, which is largely a wonderful example of Georgian architecture. The Blandford Town Museum is a great place for this.
Shopping at independent shops and boutiques, cafes, restaurants and pubs.
