Bristol
Our day trip to Bristol will give you a chance to discover this fascinating city.
Bristol Cathedral
If you like your history then be sure to visit Bristol Cathedral and the Lord Mayor's Chapel. Standing in the heart of the city centre for almost 900 years, this beautiful place of worship is definitely worth a visit.
Brunel
Of course Bristol is synonymous with Isambard Kingdom Brunel, one of the great engineers of the 19th century. The city hosts his SS Great Britain, the worlds first ocean liner. Designed by Brunel and first launched in 1843, she is now fully preserved and available to visit at the Great Western Dockyard. Brunel's other eye catching work is the Clifton Suspension Bridge spanning the Avon Gorge, which was completed in his memory in 1864, 5 years after his death.
