Sculpture by the Lakes

Unwind and relax at Sculpture by the Lakes. Just a short drive from either Weymouth or Bournemouth take some time out to enjoy and admire the amazing sculptures here. The site is located in 26 acres of beautiful gardens which complement the artwork perfectly. From the lifesize Icarus flying up to the sun, to the lifelike birds and animals there is something for every one to admire.

The sculptures are by renowned sculptor Simon Gudgeon and his team, along with visiting exhibits from other talented artists. Simon's wife, Monique is an exceptional gardener and between them have created this place of tranquility and beauty. 

The park is open all year round, and even on a fresh winters day it is well worth a visit.

As well as the Sculpture Park there is also a wonderful restaurant in the Makers Yards, simply called The Kitchen. Serving locally sourced and home grown produce, the menu reflects the changing seasons and offers a beautifully cooked and presented meal, alongside homemade cakes, delicious wines and local beers and ciders. We would recommend booking your table in advance!

Nex to the Kitchen you will find the Store, selling a range of exquisite gifts and craft items. There is also the Pantry where you can purchase takeaway drinks, sandwiches and snacks, perfect to take as you stroll around the park.

The Gallery has a changing display of paintings and sculptures. Some are smaller scale versions of what you have seen in the park and others completely new. Most are available to purchase should you wish to take a souvenir home!
